My name is Pat Weber. I have worked for Universal Athletic since I was 19 years old. I started as a retail employee while I was studying for my undergraduate. In 2005, I finished my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology at Montana Tech. I then took a position with Universal Athletic as a Retail Manager at our Missoula location. I stayed in this role for about 2 years, then moved to North Dakota to start selling team sporting goods. We did not have any current business in North Dakota, so I learned a lot about how to earn customers business over the next 4 years.

During this time, I received my MBA from the University of Mary. We also opened a new retail location in Bismarck.  While in North Dakota, I helped develop larger sales presence for the company by hiring more salesmen and a work force to support them.

After these 4 years in North Dakota, I moved to Salt Lake City. I continue to sell team sporting goods to about 13 schools and manage a group of sales reps in Utah and Nevada.

I decided to start this blog because I feel there is a need for training and information in the team sporting goods world. It can take years for someone to gather all the information needed to be efficient and successful. We have 1000’s of vendors and a reason to sell each product in different situations. I hope this blog will give you some useful information that will make a difference.

The editor for the blog is my wife, Tiffany.  We have been married since we lived in North Dakota.  She attended medical school in North Dakota.  She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.  She is currently a practicing gynecologist at the University of Utah.

We live with our daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah.  We enjoy the outdoors and time as a family.
